Coreworx interface management solutions are now fully hosted on Microsoft Azure. The successful migration to Microsoft (MS) Azure was made possible by a great team effort between Ascertra (part of the Vela Software Group, an operating group of Constellation Software, Inc.) and our MS Azure hosting partner, Bell Canada.
The move to MS Azure from a private data center is part of a continuous effort to increase the performance, availability, and scalability of the Coreworx SaaS solution. This migration has already provided significant application performance improvements. In addition to performance improvements, hosting through Bell’s infrastructure provides Coreworx clients the option to select local hosting in their operating region, providing local regulatory compliance. Furthermore, this migration will provide the ability to immediately offer simplified upgrades to storage and server requirements and secure failover.
In future steps to further improve performance and easy access, plans are in place to direct development towards Microsoft Azure Services, and speed up the availability of new functionality with direct Microsoft Azure DevOps continuous deployment.
Overall the move to Microsoft Azure will strengthen our capabilities to serve a global client base (from small to enterprise) better and give on-premise clients the ability to transition to scalable SaaS-based project information and interface management solutions.
